What we can say is that you need to not only work out, and work out consistently, but you need to mix it up! The human body will get used to the same routine within 4-6 weeks on average.
Start with one to two weeks of mild intensity, long duration cardio. After that two weeks, switch to interval training. You'll rev up your metabolism - and if you're eating the right foods, which speed your metabolism and get you more 'thermogenic', while working out like this, you'll begin truly blasting off fat in no time.
